“Without passion you don’t have energy, without energy you have nothing.”
Donald J. Trump
We can all relate to what Mr. Trump is speaking of when he mentions energy. We all know what its like to just not have the energy to go do work or do anything that seems to suck the energy and life blood right out of our souls. “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.” Henry David Thoreau. So if you are looking at this post, I am certain that you have the Passion and the Fire to have the energy to write your song and sing it in the orchestra of your life. After all, life is to short to live without passion. I will also take it a step further and speak about the fire, or burning desire to accomplish something. Rarely do we see people with this characteristic, however when we do see them, or experience them, they seem magnetic. If you are in any industry and hope to influence people it doesn’t hurt to have this quality of character. Have you ever met someone like this, that just seems to have this electric quality. How can we all have this and can it be taught. I am not certain it can be taught, however I am certain it can be learned if you have the desire. Passion and fire is inspired by something different for each person and your task is to find what ignites your burning desire and I hope I can be of help because Inspiring you will Inspire me and who knows how many people in the world.
Webster’s dictionary describes passion as, “extreme, compelling emotion.” I want you to stop for a moment and think about the times in your life when you were passionate about something and experienced, “Extreme, compelling emotion”.
Joseph Osborne
Bill and Joseph, nice to meet you. My name is Norman. Reading your blog has inspired me to reply with this comment. I believe passion comes and goes in a persons life. Many times I have been "fired-up" about something. And if it has the ability to be obtained through a short burst of due dilligence (even if it takes multiple bursts). The passion will seem to grow with the accomplishment of every step of the task. As long as some hurdles can be crossed and celebrated along the way the passion will remain. But I have noticed if you seem to be knocking over the hurdles and no gains are being achieved, then the passion dwindles and new paths leading you in new directions, away from the current project, start to appear. Thus lighting new passions in another direction. Some refer to it as A.D.D. But I think its a new path passion created from unsuccesfully clearing the hurdles in your previous passion's direction. In fact I am loosing the "extreme, compelling emotion" in my present passion (WickedLittlePig.com). I have set up shop ( with much passion), built inventory ( with much passion and enjoyment),built and uploaded a web site( with extreme frustration, then enjoyment) and am constantly trying to drive traffic to it (also frustrating and unsuccessful). But as I said earlier, feel as though I'm not crossing any hurdles (not a single sale yet). So as you have probably guest, am loosing my passion. But must terry on, for I have not yet lit a fire in a new direction, replacing the passion I have for my current endeavor. And thats all I have to say about that!
